Floating Magnet Art

The idea is simple. 

One strong magnet is fixed in place, perhaps embedded in a support.

Another strong magnet, tied to a string that’s a bit too short, is held in place by mutual attraction.

It seems to float, suspended against gravity, with the string pulled tight enough to almost strum.

These magnetic displays make a unique gift for the older teen or adult who likes unusual things. It combines science and art in a way to catch the eye of visitors to their room or office.
